Here we are again on our land.
Here, to show that the land belongs to someone, the owners build fences to delimit their property.
At first, we are not really convinced.
Then, discussions after discussions with other buyers but also with the family that welcomes us in Melolo, we decide to build a fence.
At first, we want to use tree branches planted in the ground that then grow back and become trees, which is what the island's inhabitants usually use.
We meet Sony's uncle who offers us to find people to build this fence. We take him to the field, we go all the way.
At the end of the visit, he seems perplexed about the use of wood ... The ground is rocky and he says that the branches may not all leave and therefore die.
We do not know what else to use ...
Then he proposes us to use the stones present on the ground to build a small wall 1m high. Great idea ! Both use what is under our feet !!
We agree that he should build the wall with local workers, and that they will start working hard the next day.
